Caleb Francis, O.D.

Dr. Caleb Francis is a talented optometrist at Lusk Eye Specialists, who sees patients at our Shreveport and Minden locations.

Dr. Francis earned his Bachelor of Science in biology, minoring in chemistry, at Louisiana Tech University, and then received his Doctor of Optometry from Northeastern State University, Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. During his education, he obtained vast clinical experience working at a variety of clinics in the greater Cherokee Nation throughout Northeastern Oklahoma. He also completed an externship at the Jack C. Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

He was called to pursue a career in optometry from a young age, as the profession allows him to make a profound impact on someone’s life every day he’s working. His philosophy is to provide patient care that’s attentive and personalized, with an emphasis on education and communication. He works with a variety of patients, including those with eye disease management needs, such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic eye conditions. He also offers pre- and post-operative care for cataract and vision surgery patients.

When he’s not caring for his patients’ vision needs at Lusk Eye Specialists, Dr. Francis enjoys hunting, painting, making home improvements, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.
