Cataract Surgery
Cataracts can be a significant detriment to your vision and quality of life, but we can change that with safety, ease, and advanced options that enable you to customize your experience. The Lusk Eye Specialists team perform over 1,500 cataract surgeries in Shreveport every year, and they’re dedicated to giving you a great experience from your first pre-operative consult to your final post-operative checkup.
We use state-of-the-art technology, such as our Centurion® Vision System and a range of high-end (IOL) options, to ensure that your vision is restored — or improved — in the process of safely removing your cataracts.
Refractive Surgery — LASIK, PRK, CLE/RLE, and ICL
At Lusk, we’re proud of the range of surgeries we offer, because we understand that patients will get the best outcomes from the procedure that best fits their unique circumstances. We use our iDESIGN® Refractive Studio all-laser system to perform LASIK surgeries that correct refractive vision errors and provide you with a lifetime of improved vision.
Our many other vision correction options are just as successful. PRK is a laser surgery that can be performed on those who don’t qualify for LASIK. For those who can’t have any laser surgery, Clear Lens Extraction (CLE), or RLE, corrects the eye’s lens rather than the cornea. And Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) surgery treats nearsightedness without affecting either the cornea or lens.
Eye Exams and Disease Management
We provide medical eye exams and disease management for some of the most complex eye conditions. Our dry eye specialists take a holistic approach to finding the best solutions for dry eye disease, ranging from at-home treatments, to specialized lenses, to in-office procedures that treat the cause of the condition, not just the symptoms. We frequently see patients with various corneal issues and can provide specialized treatment as necessary. Our eye exams can provide early diagnoses for AMD, retinal issues, glaucoma, and other common and uncommon eye conditions.
One of our specialties is fitting patients with scleral lenses, specialized contacts that are used for astigmatism, dry eye, various corneal issues, and post-surgery recovery.

If you’re coming from the north, head south on I-49 S toward Shreveport to the I-220 W exit, then in just over a mile, take exit 5 for LA-173. In 0.5 miles, turn left onto Hilry Huckaby III Ave. In about 2 miles, turn right onto Hearne Ave. In a mile, turn left onto Murphy St. In another mile, turn right at Allen Ave, but make sure to keep left at the fork there to follow signs for I-49 S/Alexandria. In about 1.5 miles, you’ll see Dillard’s on your left. Continue down the road for just under 4 miles, then take exit 201 to merge onto LA-3132 E. In a mile, take exit 8 for LA-523/Ellerbe Rd/Line Ave. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto LA-523/Ellerbe Rd/Line Ave, then in 0.3 miles, turn right onto Ashley Ridge Blvd. After another 0.3 miles, you’ll pass Spa Concepts Salon & Spa on your left. Just a few hundred feet ahead, we’ll be on your right.
If you’re coming from the west, head east on I-20 E. Soon after you see signs for La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Shreveport Airport on your right, take exit 11 to merge onto LA-3132 E toward Alexandria. As you follow the curve of the road right, you’ll see Homewood Suites by Hilton Shreveport on your right. In about 8.5 miles, take exit 8 for LA-523/Ellerbe Rd/Line Ave, then at the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto LA-523/Ellerbe Rd/Line Ave. In 0.3 miles, turn right onto Ashley Ridge Blvd. In 0.4 miles from there, we’ll be ahead on your right.
